The Swath is a climbing area in Harriman State Park in New York, managed by State Park and Recreation. It sits within a cluster of boulders and rock faces, with High Electricity boulder and Oliphant Boulder about 0.1 mile away, and Swath Boulders at the same distance. The climbing here is all sport, with four routes ranging from 5.3 to 5.8- in the YDS system. The most comfortable months for climbing are late spring and early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Wanaque Raymond Dam put May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, while July highs reach about 84°F. The White Diamond Trail and 7 Hills Trail are both within a mile, and the Ramapo River, about 4 miles away, offers fishing.
