Ark Wall is a climbing area in the Lake George Wild Forest in New York, managed by the State Department of Conservation. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Neanderthal Cave, Main Wall and Shelving Rock all about half a mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Whitehall show July highs around 83°F with lows near 61°F, and September still runs in the mid-70s. That station sits roughly 765 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. The Red Rock Bay to Ridge Trail and Ridge Trail are both about a mile away for a hike. The Sagamore, a lake fishing spot, is about 2.7 miles off.
