Winsor is a moderate hike of about 5.4 miles in the Pecos Wilderness, part of the Espanola Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is a natural-surface out-and-back that gains about 513 feet from its low point of 10,597 feet to a high of 11,089 feet. The route is rated moderate, and horses are allowed. Two other trails, the Skyline Trail (251) and the Winsor Trail (254), both start within about a third of a mile of the Winsor route. Aspen Basin campground sits about 2.6 miles away, and Big Tesuque is about 3.9 miles off. The Pecos River offers river fishing roughly 6.4 miles from the trail.
