West Fork is a hard hike of about 13 miles in the Magdalena Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in New Mexico. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from roughly 6,600 feet to about 10,400 feet, a gain of nearly 4,000 feet. The route is open year-round, and the Forest Service manages the land. The trail has natural surface and is open to both horses and bikes. The West Fork Trail lies about 3 miles away, and Hardy Ridge and Hardy Spring are each within about 5 miles. Water Canyon Campground is about 8 miles off and offers a place to stay.
