North Baldy Trail is a short, easy hike in the Magdalena Ranger District of Cibola National Forest in northern New Mexico, about 5 miles from the town of Kelly. The trail is an out-and-back route of roughly 2 miles, with a one-way climb of about 925 feet from a low point of 8,987 feet to a high of 9,935 feet. The trail is rated easy, and the climb is spread across the full length of the route. It makes a straightforward outing for anyone looking to reach the higher ground in this part of the forest. Several other trails sit close by. Mill Canyon is about half a mile away, and North Baldy Trail #8 and Copper Canyon Trail #10 are each within a mile. Water Canyon Campground, about 3 miles off, offers a place to stay overnight.
