Vigil Lake is a moderate hike of about 3.2 miles in the Pecos Wilderness, part of the Espanola Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico. The trail is an out-and-back, with a one-way climb of about 1,091 feet from a low point of roughly 10,584 feet to a high of about 11,688 feet. The route is on natural surface, and horses are allowed. Bikes are not. The Forest Service manages the land. Several other trails sit close by. Jose Vigil is about 1.3 miles away, and Trailriders and South Azul are each within about 2 miles.
