Lower Nambe is a 3.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Pecos Wilderness, part of the Espanola Ranger District of the Santa Fe National Forest in northern New Mexico. The trail rises from a low point of 8,906 feet to a high of 10,689 feet, a climb of 1,757 feet, and is rated moderate. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is on natural surface with no designated bike access. The trail is open from about June 15 to October 15, and the surrounding wilderness makes it a destination for a full day in the backcountry. Aspen Basin campground and the Winsor Trail (254) both sit about 0.9 miles away, and Nambe Lake is a similar distance off. Big Tesuque campground is about 2.7 miles away.
