Tamarack Lake Trail is a flat, easy mountain biking route in Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, within the Carson Ranger District. The trail sits at a single elevation of about 8,891 feet, with no climb to speak of, so it works well as a short ride or a stop on the way to other destinations in the area. The trail is managed by the Forest Service, and it makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the surrounding trails and campgrounds. It lies close to several other places to visit, including the Tahoe Rim Trail, which passes about 0.4 miles away, and Mt. Rose Campground, about 0.6 miles off. The Tahoe Meadows Interpretive Trail is also within a short walk. For a longer outing, the Upper Meadow Loop is about a mile away, and climbers can find Main Rock roughly 3.4 miles from the trail.
