The Tahoe Rim Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in California's Tahoe National Forest, within the Truckee Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is about half a mile long, with a total climb of about 40 feet from a low point of 8,559 feet to a high of 8,619 feet. It's an out-and-back, so the one-way gain is about 40 feet. The route sits at a high elevation, and the climb is gentle. It works well as a quick stop or a warm-up before heading farther along the trail network. Nearby, the 16N92B and 16N54 mountain biking spots are each about 0.6 miles away. Lake Tahoe - North Shore, a fishing area, is about 3 miles off. Across the Nevada line, Mt. Rose Campground is about 6.5 miles away.
