The Tahoe Rim Trail is a short, easy mountain biking route in California's Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit, managed by the Forest Service. It is an out-and-back ride of about 1.3 miles, with a low point of 8,350 feet and a high of 8,548 feet, and it gains about 195 feet of elevation on the way up. The trail is part of the Tahoe Rim Trail network, and the climb is gentle, making it a quick stop for riders looking to stretch their legs on a short ride. The route is easy to fit into a longer day on the trail, and the Forest Service manages the surrounding land. The 16N92B trail lies just 0.1 mile away, and the 16N54 trail is about a mile off. For a change of pace, Lake Tahoe's North Shore fishing area is roughly 3 miles away, and Mt. Rose Campground is about 7 miles away.
