Gray Lake Loop is a short, looping mountain biking route in Nevada's Mt. Rose Wilderness, within the Carson Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The Forest Service manages the land, and the loop sits at about 9,050 feet, with a high point of 9,079 feet and a low of 9,035 feet. The climb is minimal, with a total elevation gain of 27 feet over a 0.41-mile loop, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.14 miles in, with an 8% grade. The route makes an easy addition to a day spent exploring the Tahoe Meadows trailhead area. Rose Knob and Gray Creek are both about 0.2 miles away, and the Tahoe Rim Trail is about 0.3 miles off. Climbers can find Butterscotch Slab aka Trippy #5 about 2.2 miles away, and Mt. Rose Campground is about 3.6 miles away for an overnight stay.
