Thomas Canyon is an easy out-and-back hike in the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in northeastern Nevada, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 3.6 miles long, with a one-way climb of roughly 1,268 feet from a low point of about 7,563 feet to a high of about 8,819 feet. The route is on natural surface, and bikes are allowed. Thomas Canyon Campground sits about 0.2 miles away, and the New Thomas Canyon hike starts just 0.1 miles off. Lamoille Canyon Nature Trail is about 1.5 miles away, and the Lamoille Canyon climbing area is about 3 miles away.
