Lions Camp is a hard hike of about 3 miles in the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in northeastern Nevada. The route is an out-and-back that climbs roughly 1,190 feet from a low point of 7,243 feet to a high of 8,507 feet. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail's natural surface and lack of bike access set the tone for a rugged, foot-only outing. The trail is open seasonally from about June 15 through October 30, and the climb makes it a serious proposition. The Right Fork Lamoille lies just 0.2 miles away and the Lamoille to Talbot route 0.9 miles off, so it pairs easily with other outings in the area. Thomas Canyon Campground sits about 1.8 miles away, and the Lamoille Canyon climbing area is about 1.9 miles away.
