Ruby Crest National Recreation Trail is a 65-mile out-and-back hike in the Mountain City-Ruby Mountains-Jarbidge Ranger District of Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in northeastern Nevada. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail rises from about 7,876 feet to about 10,869 feet, with a total elevation gain of 2,708 feet. The route is rated hard, and it is a long one. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. The trail passes close to Lamoille Stock and Island Lake, both about 0.1 mile away, and Favre Lake and Colonel Moore are within about 2.5 miles. Thomas Canyon Campground, about 3.4 miles away, is the closest place to camp. Lamoille Canyon, a climbing area, lies about 6.3 miles off.
