Park Canyon is a 2.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Austin-Tonopah Ranger District of Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 420 feet from a low point of 7,778 feet to a high of 8,339 feet. The route is rated hard, and the climb is one way. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes. For comfortable weather, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Austin #2 show May highs around 65°F and September highs around 75°F, while July peaks near 86°F and winter brings frequent snow days. Nearby, the National Forest Development 342 Trail lies about 1.8 miles away and Marysville Canyon about 2.7 miles. Climbers can head to Wild Granites, about 3.5 miles off, and Tierney Creek offers another hike roughly 4.8 miles away.
