Gunsight Peak is a 16-mile out-and-back hike on the natural-surface trail of the Spotted Bear Ranger District of Flathead National Forest in western Montana. The climb rises from about 4,300 feet to 7,076 feet, with a one-way elevation gain of 998 feet, and the trail is rated hard. The Forest Service manages the land, and the route is open year-round. Horses are allowed, but the trail is not accessible. Silvertip Cabin sits about half a mile away and makes a convenient base. Silvertip Creek and Limestone Peak are both within two miles, and Beaver Creek Campground is about 3.7 miles off.
