Pine Point Loop is a short, easy cross-country ski route in Massachusetts, about 1.7 miles from the town of Carlisle. The loop is an out-and-back of about 0.3 miles, with almost no elevation change. The route starts and ends at nearly the same level, with a high point of 170 feet and a low of 163 feet, and the steepest stretch is a 2% grade at about 0.06 miles in. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bedford show January highs around 36°F with about 8 snow days, while February and March bring similar cold and snow. By April, snow days drop to about 2, and May runs near 70°F with no snow days. Several other ski routes sit close by. Shoreline and Maple Ridge are each about 0.1 mile away, and Corn Cob is about 0.2 mile away. For a change of pace, the Chelmsford Lime Quarry climbing area is about 2.9 miles off.
