Worm Creek is a hard hike in Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, within the Montpelier Ranger District. The trail is an out-and-back that climbs from about 6,550 feet to about 8,390 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,837 feet over a route of about 10.4 miles. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is open year-round. The trail is natural-surfaced and allows both horses and bikes, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. That makes it a practical choice for a longer trip with gear. St. Charles Campground sits about 2.7 miles away, and Limekiln is a hike about 2.8 miles off. Davis Canyon Campground and the Davis Canyon hike are each about 3.4 miles away.
