Worm Lake is a 4.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Montpelier Ranger District of Idaho's Caribou-Targhee National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 270 feet from a low point of 8,309 feet to a high of 8,539 feet, and it is rated moderate. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes, so riders and pack animals can join the walk. The climb is gentle, with the most gain coming in the second half of the trip. The Midland Trail and South Fork Bloomington both lie within a mile of the start. Climbers can head to Bloomington Lake, about 2.3 miles away, and Paris Springs Campground is about 3.7 miles off for an overnight stay.
