Fat Man's Squeeze is a bouldering area in Connecticut, about 1.8 miles from the town of Killingworth. It is a cluster of boulders rather than a single climb, and the routes here range from V1 to V8+ on the V scale, with the median grade around V4. The area is close to several other climbing spots and trails. The 9 Wall (Feather Ledges) climbing area is about half a mile away, and the Chatfield Trail and Chatfield Alternate Trail are both within about half a mile. Hammonasset Reservoir, another climbing area, is roughly 0.9 miles off. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Mt Carmel show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 85°F. The routes here are all boulders, and the hardest one listed is De Mak Mak at V8+. Other named routes include Fat Warm Up at V1, Cavity at V4 and The Motor Head at V5+.
