Freeborn White Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 0.45 miles long and rising from 202 feet to 416 feet. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.31 miles in, with a 13% grade. The nearest town is Lyons Plain, about 1.1 miles away. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Danbury show May highs around 72°F and September highs around 75°F, with July the warmest month at about 85°F. The trail makes an easy addition to a longer outing. The Pink Trail (Off Leash Loop) is about 0.4 miles away, and the Ordway Trail and Paul Busch Trail are each within a mile. Climbers can head to Bald Rock Basin, about 3.3 miles off.
