Guinn Mountain is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Boulder Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. The route climbs from a low point of 9,639 feet to a high of 10,985 feet, gaining about 1,350 feet over a little under 4 miles. The Forest Service manages the land. The trail is on natural surface and allows both horses and bikes. That makes it a flexible option for riders and pack animals heading up from the lower end. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages at a nearby weather station run to highs around 68°F and lows near 43°F, though that station sits about 1,150 feet below the summit, so temperatures up high run cooler. Winter is harsh, with January highs near 29°F and lows around 12°F. The Pipeline Trail lies less than a mile away, and the Eldora climbing area is about 1.5 miles off. For an overnight stay, West Magnolia and Rainbow Lakes Campground are both within about 6 miles.
