Woodcamp Campground sits on the scenic Jackson Meadow Reservoir in the Sierraville Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California. It is a base camp for boating, fishing and hiking, and it is operated by the Nevada Irrigation District in cooperation with the Tahoe National Forest. Vault toilets are the only amenity on site, and a fee is charged for stays. The closest neighbors are Fir Top and Findley campgrounds, both within a third of a mile. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Bowman Dam weather station show July highs around 82°F with lows near 54°F, while winter highs stay in the mid-40s. That station sits about 700 feet lower than the campground, so temperatures at Woodcamp run a little cooler.
