West Sedona is a climbing area in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of trails and crags, with the Andante West hike and the mountain biking routes on Lower Chimney Rock and Sugarloaf Trailhead all about 0.1 mile away. The area also pairs well with Stupa Crag, another climbing spot about 0.2 mile off. The climbing here offers a mix of sport and traditional routes, with grades ranging from 5.7 to 5.11. Sport routes include Dirty Love and Groovy Wuvi at 5.7, while The Great Dihedral is a trad climb at 5.11. The most comfortable months for a visit are typically April and October, when typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona run about 75°F and 79°F with lows in the mid-40s.
