Andante West #165D is a short, easy hike in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The route is an out-and-back of about 0.37 miles, with a total elevation gain of 195 feet, taking you from a low point of about 4,656 feet to a high of about 4,862 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from the nearby Oak Creek Canyon weather station show May highs around 78°F and October highs around 74°F, while July and August average about 90°F. The trail sits close to several other outdoor spots. West Sedona, a climbing area, and the Andante West mountain biking route are each about 0.1 mile away.
