Main Wall - Center is a climbing area in Arizona's Tonto National Forest, within the Payson Ranger District, managed by the Forest Service. It sits at the heart of a cluster of related climbing spots: Main Wall - South and Main Wall - North both lie about a tenth of a mile away, so the whole Main Wall complex makes an easy base for exploring several faces at once. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show highs around 70°F in April and 74°F in October, while July highs reach about 91°F and January lows drop to around 30°F. That station sits roughly 500 feet lower than the wall, so expect temperatures on the rock to run cooler. The area has 31 routes in total, with 22 of them traditional and 8 sport. Grades range from 5.7 to 5.12a. Standouts include "Little District in the Neighborhood" at 5.7 and "The Proposal" at 5.12a, both traditional climbs. The Arizona Trail and Oak Spring Trail 16 are both about 0.7 miles away.
