Sunset Trail is a 10.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 8,049 feet to about 9,281 feet, with a total elevation gain of 180 feet, and is rated moderate. Bikes and horses are both allowed on the route, so it works for riders and pack animals as well as hikers. Elden Lookout sits about 0.4 miles away, and the Elden Lookout Trail is about 0.6 miles off. Climbers can find One Wall, The and Sawyer Wall, both about half a mile from the trail. For an overnight stay, Little Elden Springs Horsecamp is about 2.1 miles away.
