Oldham is a hard hike on natural trail in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. It is a 10.3-mile out-and-back with about 1,420 feet of elevation gain, taking you from a low of about 7,305 feet to a high of about 8,891 feet. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable seasons. Typical averages from a nearby weather station run from highs around 71°F in May to about 76°F in September, while winter lows drop to the mid-teens. The trail sits close to other outdoor options. The Lower Oldham Trail for mountain biking is about 0.2 miles away, and the Oaklands and Solitude Wall climbing areas are within half a mile.
