Brookbank is a hard hike in the Flagstaff Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, about 11 miles long with an elevation gain of about 940 feet. The route is an out-and-back with a low point of about 7,666 feet and a high point of about 8,663 feet. The trail is not accessible. The most comfortable months are typically May and September, when typical highs run about 71°F and 76°F with lows in the low 30s and 40s, according to averages from a nearby weather station at Ft Valley. That station sits about 1,300 feet below the hike's high point, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. The trail starts at the Rocky Ridge/Oldham parking area. Climbers will find the West Elden and Uptown climbing areas within a quarter mile, and the Scarlet Begonias Trail is about 0.4 miles away. For an overnight, Little Elden Springs Horsecamp is about 2.3 miles off.
