Last Frontier is a moderate out-and-back hike in the Red Rock Ranger District of Coconino National Forest in Arizona, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 5.7 miles long, with a one-way elevation gain of 231 feet, starting at roughly 4,267 feet and reaching about 4,462 feet. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Sedona show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 79°F, while July averages climb to about 97°F.
