After 5 Crag is a climbing area in the Powder River Ranger District of Bighorn National Forest in Wyoming, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing areas, with The Lunar Surface, Grand Parade and Dry Wall all about a tenth of a mile away. The routes here are all sport climbs, with six routes graded from about 5.10a/b up to 5.12c/d. The hardest is Beta Male at 5.12c/d, and the easiest is Plinko at 5.10a/b. Mike Snyder first climbed most of them in 2013, and Charlie Kardalef did BBQ Buddies Control the Cosmos. Summer is the most comfortable season. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 88°F with lows near 57°F, while the station sits about 1,500 feet lower than the crag, so expect cooler temperatures on the rock. Leigh Creek Campground is about 1.6 miles away, and Tensleep Creek offers paddling roughly 2.9 miles off. Boulder Park Campground and the Salt Lick Trail are both within about 5 miles.
