Short Creek Right is a bouldering area in New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in West Virginia, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other bouldering spots, with Gymnastic Fantastic Boulder, 1) Super Mario Boulder and 3) The Brain all about 0.1 mile away. The area has 10 bouldering routes, all rated on the V scale from V1 to V8. The easiest is Barufino at V1, and the hardest is Light Rays at V8. The median grade is V4, so climbers can find problems to suit a range of abilities. September is a comfortable time to visit, with typical highs around 75°F and lows near 54°F, and it has the fewest wet days of the year, about nine. Those figures are typical averages from a nearby weather station in Oak Hill, which sits at a similar elevation to the boulders. Headhouse Trail is about 0.2 mile away, and Tipple Trail and Conveyor Trail are each about 0.4 mile off. For paddling, Manns Creek is roughly 6 miles away.
