Gorilla Cliff is a climbing area within Smith Rock State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. It sits among a cluster of trails and climbing spots, so it works well as a stop in a day spent exploring the park's rock and paths. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Redmond show May highs around 69°F and September highs near 79°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s. The closest trails are the Rope-de-Dope Trail and Rim Rock Trail, both about 0.1 mile away, and the River Trail at 0.2 mile. The Main Smith Rock Area climbing area is also about 0.2 mile off. For an overnight stay, Skull Hollow campground lies about 4.5 miles away.
