The Dihedrals is a climbing area in Smith Rock State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Snake Rock and The Fourth Horseman both about 0.1 mile away, and Christian Brothers - West Side at a similar distance. The River Trail and Rim Rock Trail are within a third of a mile, so it pairs easily with a short walk. The area has 55 routes, with sport climbing the most common style. The grades run from 5.4 up to 5.14a, and the hardest route listed is To Bolt Or Not To Be, a 5.14a sport climb. Among the sport routes are Ginger Snap at 5.8 and Chain Reaction at 5.12c, and the trad Left Slab Crack is 5.4. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 79°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s. Winter is much cooler, with January highs in the mid-40s. Skull Hollow campground is about 4.5 miles away, and South Shore Group Sites is about 8.6 miles away.
