Llama Wall is a climbing area in Smith Rock State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. It sits among several other climbing areas, including (1) Northeast Face, (3) Phoenix and the Smith Rock Group, all within about a tenth of a mile. The River Trail and Rim Rock Trail also start close by. The area has 21 routes, mostly sport climbing with a few trad options. The grades run from 5.8 up to 5.13c/d, with the median around 5.11+. Wannabe Llamas is the easiest at 5.8, and Llama Enlightenment is 5.10c. Blackened is 5.11c/d, and Llama Llinkup is the hardest at 5.13c/d. For timing, late spring and early fall are the most comfortable. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Redmond show May highs around 69°F and September highs around 79°F, while July and August average in the upper 80s. Winter is cooler, with January highs in the mid-40s. Skull Hollow campground is about 4.7 miles away, and South Shore Group Sites is about 8.8 miles away.
