Gods and Monsters Wall is a climbing area in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, on the Hood River Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the wall sits within the same cluster of climbing spots as Roof Utopia and The Leaning Tower Area, both about a tenth of a mile away. The area has 23 routes, with most climbing in the trad style and a few in sport. The grades run from 5.6 up to 5.11c. Among the named routes are Oroboros at 5.8, Shaken at 5.9 and In Godzilla We Trust at 5.10b, along with Buddha Belly at 5.10c and Crouching Climber Ridden Dragon at 5.11c. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July and August highs reach about 70°F with only around four wet days a month, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Government Camp. Winters there average highs in the mid-30s with rain on most days. Zig Zag is a hike about 0.2 miles away, and Tamanawas Falls is about 0.4 miles off. Cloud Cap Saddle campground and Sherwood campground are both within a mile.
