The Aviary is a climbing area in the Hood River Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing and hiking destinations, with Wolf Point and The Leaning Tower Area both about 0.1 mile away and the Zig Zag hike just as close. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days. The area has 10 routes, with sport climbing making up seven and trad climbing three. Grades range from 5.7 to 5.12b. Among the named routes are It's All Good (5.7 trad), Blue Grouse (5.9 sport) and Golden Eagle (5.12b sport).
