Bird Rock is a climbing area in the Tiller Ranger District of Umpqua National Forest in southwestern Oregon, on land managed by the Forest Service. It sits in a tight cluster of crags, with Cougar's Den and Icicle Wall each about 0.1 mile away, so it's easy to pair with neighboring walls in a single outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb. At Sexton Summit, a nearby weather station at a similar elevation, July and August typically average highs around 77°F with only about two wet days a month. Winter brings typical highs in the low 40s and roughly 16 wet days a month. Threehorn Campground is the closest overnight option, about 3.8 miles away. Devil's Flat, a hike roughly 5.6 miles off, and Devils Flat Campground at about 7.4 miles round out the nearby choices.
