Shoofly Trail is a short, out-and-back mountain biking route in L.L. "Stub" Stewart State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. The trail is about 1.7 miles long, with a low point of 1,054 feet and a high of 1,226 feet, and it is rated hard. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.64 miles in, with a grade of 17 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Vernonia show July and August highs around 77 to 78°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 20 days a month. Several other routes sit close by. Rise and Shine is about 0.1 mile away, and Brush Monkey and Rinse and Repeat are each about 0.2 mile away. For paddling, the Nehalem River is about 7 miles off.
