Drip Torch Trail is a hard mountain biking trail in L.L. "Stub" Stewart State Park in Oregon, on city-managed land. It is the most advanced trail in the park, with man-made technical features including wooden drops, a wooden wall ride and mandatory air gap jumps. A full-face helmet and knee and elbow pads are highly recommended. The trail is an out-and-back of about 0.74 miles, with a total climb of about 465 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 16% grade. The route starts and ends at roughly 1,150 feet, with the high point at about 1,367 feet. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Vernonia show July and August highs around 77 to 78°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-40s and rain on 20 days a month. Several other mountain biking trails sit about 0.1 mile away, including Rinse and Repeat, Greenhorn Trail (upper) and Railyard. Paddlers can find the Nehalem River about 7 miles off.
