Trail 14 - Suttle Lake Loop is an out-and-back hike in the Sisters Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The route is about 17.7 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 2,208 feet, and it is rated hard. The trail starts at about 4,170 feet and reaches a high point of 4,216 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 5.8 miles in, where the grade reaches 12%. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Santiam Junction show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 30s. Several other destinations sit close by. Trail 10 - Cache Mountain Loop is about 0.4 miles away, and Dark Lake and Two Lakes are within about a mile and a half. For an overnight stay, Scout Lake campground is about 1.8 miles off.
