Suttle Tie is an 11-mile out-and-back hike in the Sisters Ranger District of Deschutes National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 3,287 feet to about 3,468 feet, with the steepest stretch at about 1.1 miles in, where the grade reaches 15%. The climb is rated hard. The route is on natural surface, and bikes are allowed. Horses are not. The trail is open year-round. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Santiam Junction show July and August highs around 76°F with lows near 42°F, while winter highs stay in the upper 30s. Lake Creek and the Suttle Lake Loop both start within a quarter mile. Blue Bay campground is about half a mile away, and Suttle Lake offers fishing about 0.7 miles off.
