Tom and Jerry is a short, easy hike in the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is about 1.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of about 430 feet, and it makes a natural out-and-back. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.4 miles in, and the trail ends at roughly the same elevation it starts. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Crater Lake show July and August highs around 69°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the low 30s and rain on most days. The trail is natural-surface and not accessible. Horses are allowed, but bikes are not. Bessie Shelter, a campground, sits just 0.1 mile away. The Mudjekeewis Trail and the Middle Fork hike are both within about 2.5 miles, and the Middle Fork Rogue River offers canoeing about 3 miles off.
