Muir Creek is a 6.7-mile out-and-back hike in the High Cascades Ranger District of the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forests in southern Oregon. The trail rises from about 3,900 feet to about 4,170 feet, a climb of 425 feet, and is rated hard. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trailhead is named Muir Creek Trailhead. The route is open year-round, and the trail is natural-surface, with horses and bikes allowed. It is not an accessible trail. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days. National Creek Falls is about a mile away, and the Hamaker Loop and Meadow Creek hikes are each about 1.8 miles off. The Rogue River, about 5 miles away, offers paddling.
