Mohawk is a short hike in Oregon's Siuslaw National Forest, within the Central Coast Ranger District-ODNRA. Rated easy, it covers 0.62 miles one way with about 130 feet of climbing in that direction, making for a roughly 1.2-mile out-and-back. The route stays between about 1,540 and 1,670 feet. Its steepest pitch comes almost right away: a grade of about 16 percent around the first tenth of a mile. On the return you retrace the same path. July and August are the driest months, with typical highs in the low 80s and about four wet days a month, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Corvallis. That station sits about 1,075 feet lower than the trail, so temperatures on the trail run cooler. Carl's Adventure starts just 0.1 mile away, and Root Down and Collarbone Alley are each about 0.2 mile off. Marys Peak Campground is about 4 miles away.
