Miller is a 4.1-mile out-and-back hike in the Zigzag Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated moderate, with a total elevation gain of 149 feet. It starts and ends at about 3,425 feet, with the high point at 3,426 feet, so the climb is minimal. The steepest stretch comes at about 1.9 miles in, where the grade reaches 9 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Government Camp weather station show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on most days.
