Timothy Lake is a 10.8-mile out-and-back hike in Oregon's Mt. Hood National Forest, within the Clackamas River Ranger District. The trail rises from 3,234 feet to 3,328 feet, a climb of 289 feet, and is rated hard. The Forest Service manages the land. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Government Camp show July and August highs around 70°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter months bring highs in the mid-30s and rain on 20 or more days. Hoodview Campground sits just 0.1 mile from the trail, and Stone Creek and Pine Point Campground are within a mile. The Southshore hike is 0.7 mile away.
