Line Butte Tie is a 5.4-mile out-and-back hike in the Paulina Ranger District of Ochoco National Forest in Oregon, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is rated moderate, with a total elevation gain of about 1,019 feet over the round trip. The climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.55 miles in, where the grade reaches 21 percent. The trail's natural surface makes it suitable for horses and bikes. The hike starts at an elevation of about 6,211 feet and reaches a high point of about 6,790 feet. The route is roughly symmetrical, with about 1,019 feet of descent on the way back.
