Lemolo Lake Shortcut is a short, easy out-and-back hike in the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is 0.34 miles long and sits at about 4,158 feet, with a high point of 4,174 feet. It's a low-elevation, low-effort route, with a total climb of 34 feet and a steady grade that peaks at about 4% around the 0.12-mile mark. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days from December through February. The trail is open from June 1 to October 31, and the trip takes about half an hour. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface route. Lemolo Lake Peninsula lies 0.2 miles away, and Poole Creek Campground (H) is 0.6 miles off. Poole Creek Loop XC-Ski is 0.7 miles away, and East Lemolo Campground is 1.2 miles away.
