Lemolo Falls is a 2.2-mile out-and-back hike in the Diamond Lake Ranger District of Oregon's Umpqua National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 3,600 feet to a high point of 4,170 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,435 feet over the round trip. The steepest stretch comes at about 0.76 miles in, where the grade reaches 24 percent. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Lemolo Lake show July and August highs around 79°F with only about four wet days a month, while winter brings highs in the upper 30s and regular snow days from December through February. The trail is open from June 1 to November 15, and the trip takes about 1.5 hours. Bikes are allowed on the natural-surface route, and the trail is not accessible. Nearby, the North Umpqua Trail: Dread and Terror lies about 1.3 miles away, and Lemolo Lake is 1.8 miles off. Bunker Hill Campground and the North Umpqua River are both within about 2.6 miles.
